Hey - I read some of the earlier posts and many of them refer to carol arrangements or actual "Christmas songs." I'm looking for a couple worship choruses that are very singable for a congregation that is split 50/50 traditional/contemporary and has really just survived the actual "we're doing blended worship now" decision in the past year or two. There's a chours "Let this Christmas Be" out there, but I haven't found it recently. I'm sure there are others. What do you suggest? Thanks |

How about "O Come Let Us Adore Him." Very easy since it's to the tune of "O Come All Ye Faithful" but only uses the melody of the chorus and different lyrics. We used it last year and it was well received. |

Paul Baloche had rewritten some of his lyrics of "Offering" to be sung at Christmas. |

Last year I transitioned the chorus's of "God of Wonder's" with "O Come All Ye Faithful" (all in the key of G)......worked really well... |

What about using Tim Hughes' "Light of the World - Here I am to worship". Or Stuart Townend/Keith Getty - "Glorious Light" or "Joy has dawned upon the world". |

I really like "welcome to our world" by Cris Rice. We did it last year and it went over well

We did Welcome to Our World, also, and it was well received. We also did "It's Christmas Time" by City on A Hill, that went well, too. Check out Born in Bethlehem by Third Day--great new Christmas tune. I think it's one of the free songs on this website right now. I really like it. Also, "Prepare the Way" by Jared Anderson is a great song for Advent.
