SONG PROFILES
FREQUENCIES This short introductory track contrasts the struggles of life with the answer as to how one can be saved as revealed from scripture by John Wimber.
SING by Angie VanDeMark
John Piper quote: ""All of history is moving toward one great goal, the white-hot worship of God and his Son among all the peoples of the earth."" Not many songs have been written as a call for the nations of the Earth to worship God. My heart is to see the nations coming together to worship God in their unique expression and so I wrote Sing as a call for the nations to do just that.
I BELIEVE by Graham Ord
This song started as a vocal ad-lib captured on a live recording from a CD recorded at a conference hosted by the late John Wimber in Manchester, England in 1995. What is now the first verse of I Believe came to me spontaneously during that recording. Upon listening to the CD some four years later I thought that I should try to develop it into a whole song. We were seeing a number of new believers coming to our church and I thought it would be good to sing something declarative about what we believe in a rock'n roll idiom. I Believe was the result.

A worship album featuring Brian Doerksen, David Ruis, Daphne Rademaker, Graham Ord, Angie VanDeMark, Ron & David Wilding, Melissa Boraski and Brenda Janz.
In a world where the pace of life is increasingly speeding up, where technology advances so fast that we can't keep up, where political leaders and so-called experts fail to deliver on their promises, and where news headlines offer little hope, there's a longing to answer the question, "Who's going to save us?"
In recording this album, we have attempted to document worship songs that God has birthed in and through Canadian Vineyard songwriters. The theme - BELIEVE - threads through the entire album with a call back to faith in Jesus and what was accomplished on the cross. John Wimber's exhortation on the opening track leaves no one in doubt: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
Produced by well-known Vineyard worship leader Brian Doerksen, Believe features a mix of worship leaders, musical styles and tastes, and certainly offers a great variety of pace and volume. From the opening Frequencies track which contrasts the human need to be saved with the truth that only Jesus can save us, through the last track which calls us to find our place in serving Him, this album is an invitation to the world to believe in Jesus.
Our desire is that the songs would be used to lead people into the presence of God both in personal and corporate worship settings here and around the world. Most of all, we desire that the Holy Spirit would use the songs on Believe to impact hearts and minds of listeners.
For the most part, Believe was recorded live with four tracks recorded in the studio. On the live recording night, 1500 people packed an auditorium and the result is evident on many live tracks. The evening was unforgettable for everyone there as the presence of the Spirit of God filled the room.
Life may not slow down, computers will shut us down, people will still put us down, and the headlines will still get us down. Look up and believe!
