Let The Light In | Song Devotional

The Spirit Says It’s Time

It’s time for the sleeper to wake

It’s time for the old winds to change

I hear the Spirit say it’s time

It’s time for the dead man to arise

It’s time for the great light to shine

I hear the Spirit say it’s time

I love the message of this song. My husband, Cody, wrote it with a couple of friends and I believe it’s such a prophetic word for this season. That in a time of lockdown, while feeling closed off from the world around us, separated from the people we love, afraid of the unknown…

The Spirit says it’s time.

Time for what? Time to let the King of glory in. Time to see Heaven’s gates fling wide. Time to open up the windows of our hearts and souls and let the light in.

Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Psalms 24:7-10, NKJV

Would you lift your head today? Will you welcome the King of glory?

It’s my prayer we would continually seek fresh encounters with God’s presence. And I hope my album, The Blessing, will be an encouragement to you and help you step into that sacred place with Him. That it would be your favorite place where you believe for every wasteland to be whole again, where you experience the wonder of His glory, and where you receive every good thing He has for you.

The Spirit says it’s time.

Scriptures

Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Psalm 24:7-10, NKJV

For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true… the light makes everything visible. Ephesians 5:8-9, 14, NLT
