World Wide Revival

New album from Newsboys

Description

Worldwide Revival Part 1, released by NEWSBOYS in 2024, was the beginning of a collection of songs crafted with one mission in mind – to kickstart a global revival. Now, the group is releasing a Deluxe version of the project, titled Worldwide Revival Deluxe. Boasting 4 brand new studio recordings, as well as 2 new versions of Part 1 songs How Many Times and Christ and Christ Crucified featuring new lead singer Adam Agee, Worldwide Revival Deluxe marks the completion of the project amidst a season of unexpected change within the band. “We’ve been on the Worldwide Revival Nights tour for nearly a year now, and have seen firsthand the way that these songs have connected with listeners across the world. It’s been an interesting year for our band, but despite the changes within our lineup, we wanted to come together to finish this project well," says new lead singer, Adam Agee.

Current band members Adam Agee, Duncan Phillips, Jeff Frankenstein, and Jody Davis began to assemble the album in late 2022. “Experiencing a change like losing a lead singer in the middle of an album cycle, a tour, and radio single promotion… it’s not an easy thing,” says band director Jeff Frankenstein. “It didn’t feel right to let this project just fade away with the change… so we got to work and we’re excited to share it with the world.

New additions to the project are brand new originals Fortress and New Name, covers of popular worship songs Death Was Arrested by Northpoint Worship and God of Promises by Damascus Worship, a well as new versions of How Many Times (oh how You love me) and Christ and Christ Crucified both with vocals by Adam Agee. The focus track for the deluxe album is Fortress, a song inspired by Psalm 91 and the numerous ways this year that Agee, Frankenstein, Phillips, and Davis have have had to lean on God as their Fortress.
