The Manger To The Cross

VERSE 1
Beneath the star the child lay sleeping
While angels watched the silent sky
The promise that our God was keeping
The Messiah born to give His life

VERSE 2
The shepherds knelt as first believers
The wise men laid their gifts of cost
This child shall be the world's Redeemer
From the manger to the cross

CHORUS
O love incarnate
O love divine
Born to suffer and to die then raise to life
How far would love go
To save the lost
From Heaven to the earth below
(From the manger to the cross)

VERSE 3
No robe adorned no royal splendor
No crown was placed upon His head
Yet kings would bow and hearts surrender
To this child in a stable bed
The hands and feet of God that bled

ENDING
Oh from Heaven to the earth below
From the manger to the cross
