From their humble beginnings in a community house in Knoxville, Tn, United Pursuit has always been focused on creating songs that lead their listeners to a wide-open space—an authentic place of worship where nothing gets in the way of experiencing God. Using their love for God and their close friendship as the anchors for their songs, United Pursuit has written songs like "Break Every Chain" and "Set a Fire" that are sung all over the world. With that same spirit, they have released a brand-new album entitled Garden, available now.

Father's Day Set List

June 14, 2018

When we think about fathers, so many things come to mind. Depending on our circumstances, we might see fathers as loving, compassionate, and supportive. We might see strength and control. We might see disappointment or pain. We may see nothing at all. But no matter how we view earthly fathers, our Heavenly Father is always loving, compassionate, mighty, and sovereign. So, we can sing to God as His children, giving our Heavenly Father all the glory He is due. With that all in mind, we put together this set for you to use this Father’s Day (or any time you’re focusing on Father God in your worship time).

Set List:

1. Ever Almighty

2. Who You Say I Am

3. Good Good Father

Transition Video: Worship Together Father’s Day Mini Movie

4. How Deep the Fathers Love For Us

Begin with "Ever Almighty", proclaiming the power and glory of God. Next, play "Who You Say I Am", which reminds us that we are children of God, fully belonging and fully loved. Both of these songs transition seamlessly to one another. They are both in 6/8 time and you can keep things moving without pausing to get a new groove. Also, the original keys are only a half-step apart, so you can do them in the same key as well. Next, transition to "Good Good Father"—a song about God’s Fatherly love toward us. This is another 6/8 tune that allows you to continue without stopping, but there is also time to pause before sing to pray, show a mini movie about fathers, or encourage your church in some way. After "Good Good Father", transition to "How Deep the Father’s Love For Us". This song presents the gospel in such a clear and beautiful way, there are few songs that set up a time of teaching or reflection better. Depending on your service structure, use this song either as your last song before the sermon, as an invitation song, or as a worship moment toward the end of your service.
